If there’s any golf fans reading this then you’ll know just how insanely difficult getting a hole in one can be. Even if you’re not a fan of the sport, if you can only imagine trying to hit a ball 300 yards with a long, thin metal pipe in a hole you can barely fit your hand into. You get the picture. Now imagine doing it because you’ve got a proverbial sh*t ton of money on the line, doesn’t sound like an easy time does it?
Marcell Siem is a professional golfer who recently had the opportunity to play at the Porsche European Open in Hamburg, Germany. Something about the course that not a lot of people know, they were offering a brand new 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo to the first person to make a hole in one on hole 17. It’s about 170 yards away and a par 3, but it’s still something of a challenge that had yet to be completed, until Siem walked onto the course.
Watching the clip you can tell he was determined to at least make birdie, which would be in two shots on that hole. Never in his wildest dreams would he imagine the hole in one would come. Never did he imagine it would be an absolutely perfect shot without even touching the green, it went straight into the hole as though that was it’s home. Happy Gilmore couldn’t have done any better had Chubbs been there cheering him on himself. I’m talking end of the movie Happy, not beginning.
